The Chicagoan

The Chicagoan was a New Yorker style magazine published from 1926 to 1935 in Chicago. The University of Chicago Library has one of the only two substantial collections in existence. Because of this, the Library wanted to create an elegant browsable interface for a digitized full-text version of the collection. My main role on this project was design, though I also pitched in on front-end development. Major challenges with this project involved implementing the design on top of some rather obscure library technologies such as eXtensible Text Framework (XTF) and Extensible Stylesheet Language Transformations (XSLT).
