Mobile Encryption Gateway
Android Encryption App

The Mobile Encryption Gateway (MEG) is a piece of open source software that aims to make PGP encryption easy for end users. The heart of the software is an Android app that interfaces with an email client to encrypt emails. My roll on the project was threefold. In the first stage, I provided feedback, input, and recommendations for making the software as user-friendly and user-centric as possible. In the second stage I provided the visual design and layout of the Android app component. In the third stage I became project manager and served to guide developer workflows, facilitate communication between stakeholders, interpret technical specifications and relay the interpretations to programmers. My main task on the project management side was to get a handle on the current status of the project and relay that information to Argonne while refocusing development to bring forth a usable prototype. This is still a work in progress.
